ASUS, the new contender in Smartphone Gaming!

If you are in gaming stuff, you might have probably googled the best smartphones for gaming and almost every website tells you the same results that are – Apple iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S9+, Pixel 2 XL, OnePlus 6 and others. But did you know that there is a new contender in mobile gaming which beats above stated smartphones? No, it is not manufactured by Samsung, Apple or any other smartphone giants. This new, blazing phone is developed by ASUS. The all-new ASUS ROG Phone which is set to release in Q3 2018.

ASUS, the Taiwanese giant which masters in desktop gaming and other computer peripherals have put their hands in smartphone market-beating all other contenders. The phone was announced on June 4 to compete with Xiaomi’s liquid-cooled BlackShark Phone and Razer Phone which are set to release in September and already released respectively. The features of the phone are as follows:

Model Name ASUS Rog Phone

4x Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (overclocked from 2.8 GHz to 2.96 GHz)

4x Kryo 385

Adreno 630 GPU

Operating System Android 8.1 Oreo with ROG Gaming UI
Camera 12+8 MP Rear

8 MP Front

Display 6.0 Inch AMOLED Screen

90Hz Refresh Rate

1080×2160 Pixels 18:9 ratio Resolution

Multitouch up to 10 fingers

Storage RAM:

128 GB to 512 GB

Protection 3D Corning Gorilla Glass Back

2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass Front

Sensors Fingerprint (rear-mounted)

Other Features Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0

4000 maH Battery

Bluetooth 5.0

USB Type-C 1.0 reversible, USB 3.1

3.5 mm Headphone Jack

There are lot more features which I couldn’t include in the table. They are as follows:

It has TwinView Dock, which means there is an attachment which makes this beast phone a dual screen beast. And the dock has two physical triggers, enhanced cooling system, and extended 6000 mah battery.

Another Feature comes with Mobile Desktop Dock. Using this attachment you can connect your ROG Phone to PC using the dock and cast the contents on the desktop. You can even play games on the desktop as desktop comes with four USB 3.1 ports and other worthy ports so you can game on the go.

Another Dock is WiGig Dock. This dock turns your phone into the portable gaming console with physical buttons. This dock includes dual analog joysticks, left and right fire triggers and bumpers, a D-Pad along with A, B, X, Y and L3, R3 buttons.

And finally the last dock is my favorite, that is external cooler having an awesome design. While in normal phones, long gaming sessions will make your device a toast. So, the ROG phone comes with external coolers which help to maintain optimum temperature even at the long gaming session.

The device also sports Aura RGB supported ROG logo which changes its color according to your choice. Oh Yeah! The device also has 4 invisible physical triggers (buttons), which can be programmed according to your need. The device also has two Dolby speakers at the front and TwinView Dock has 4 speakers.

Another thing is that the phone is waterproof also, so you can stay on the phone without any worries.

Altogether the phone is a beast and using those attachments will make it a meaner beast. The phone has proper cooling, in the device as well as its attachment.

Coming at the price it is yet to be announced officially but expected price is $780 and in India, it is expected to be ₹63000 (attachments sold separately) (maybe). The expected price is quite good according to the package you would be getting. Right now, you can Pre-order the device as the device will release on 5 December 2018.

I don’t think the device lacks anything (except, expandable storage which is not a big issue with at least 128GB storage), so probably it is the world’s fastest and best phone. In my opinion, even BlackShark and Razer Phone are also unable to beat this phone, in terms of price as well as performance.
