Xiaomi releases stunning features of MIUI 10

Recently the Xiaomi company has already announced about its new operating system, MIUI 10 with will be centered all around Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The  all new MIUI 10 is based on Android 8.0 Oreo. Now the company has revealed its features that are really stunning.

This latest version of MIUI has came up with beautiful changes and some new stunning features.

Let’s take a look at all the features of MIUI 10.

  1. AI based features

  • Xiaomi has brought an interesting AI portrait mode feature with Bokeh effect even with a single camera sensor.

  • Then there is a AI preload feature will reduce the apps load time to zero in some cases. AI will also be used to improve the performance by analyzing app usage of user.

  • Xiaomi has built its own new virtual assistant called Xiao AI. Presently, it is available in Chinese only.


  1. All new recent apps menu

With MIUI 10, Xiaomi has designed a new “Recent apps menu” that has a vertical scrolling page. The recent apps page shows apps in two columns and now users can see more apps in recent apps which makes multitasking even better.

  1. Full-new gestures

The new gestures that has been introduced are pretty cool. The gestures are actually really smooth. The recent apps menu supports full-screen gestures. Users can now swipe from left or right and hold for couple of seconds to switch to previous app they were using.

  1. Redesigned volume slider and notification shade

The MIUI 10 has volume slider and notification shade similarly to Android P. Now, the notification shade features a bold white background for the Quick Settings Panel which looks exactly like the one on Android P. On the other hand, the “Volume Menu” looks a little different, similarly to Android P. The media volume button has also changed.

  1. Driving mode

MIUI 10 has a new Driving mode which uses Xiaomi’s Xiao AI to control the smartphone in a car, that lets users navigate to a location and reply messages without touching the phone.



  1. MIUI Lab

This latest version of MIUI has introduced a new section in Settings app called the “MIUI Lab”. It includes a bunch of experimental features.
